Word and Mouth |
| When you first arrive in Cyprus, your days consist of seeing as many of the attractions and sights that the island has to offer as well as the normal day to day living. Some days are better than others. We can all buy a guide book and visit the Kourian Theatre or the Tomb of the Kings but, what about the little gems that you come across while travelling around the island or a friend mentions to you about the place they went to for thingamajigs birthday. As far as the day to day living is concerned, I don’t think you ever stop learning or finding new approaches. These little gems are usually passed on by word and mouth. Please help us all and pass your own suggestions or personal thoughts so others can benefit from you wisdom and experiences like:-. |

Places to shop I have found this wonderful shop that sells buttons, zips, beads, cotton, elastic – in fact everything you could possible need for sewing and making your own jewellery. I have never seen such stock under one roof. The shop is a stock takers nightmare. You will be amazed at what you find there. If you go to the left hand side of the shop you will see stairs going down to where they sell a huge stock of material. Directions:- It is not far from Debenhams in the Naffy area of Limassol. There are many routes but the easiest one to tell is to turn off Makarious Avenue onto Petrou Tsirou Street, as if you are going to Debenhams. Carry on past and turn 3rd left into Feidou Street. The road divides within a few yards so take a right into Kallikrati Street and you will see the shop on the right hand corner of Iktinou Street. I don’t know the shops name but you will see material draped in the windows. |
